The Felsenmeer is what it sounds like (in German): a sea of giant boulders flowing down the slope of the hills. Legend has it that two giants once encountered in a fierce stone-throwing battle. thus creating the interesting landscape around the Odenwald Valley.
This area is composed of quartz-diorite boulders and offers hundreds of problems across all grades in a cool forest setting. The rock is known for being grippy and solid, featuring everything from technical slabs to powerful overhangs. It’s the place to test your abilities or just enjoy the unique geology of one of Germany's most famous bouldering spots.
